SSH/VNC finally reached SAP Support

Just a short note, nothing spectacular today.

After many years of customers asking, complaining and debating, SAP finally supports SSH for remote access to customer systems.

Even more, also VNC connections are finally available for the support of non-Windows-OS-GUIs.

All details on these new remote connection types can be found in these SAP support notes:

• 1275351 – SSH-Connection to customer systems
• 1327257 – VNC-Connection to customer systems

Be gone the times where customers had to build up complicated bypasses by setting up a WTS server remote connection to a Windows server from which the support person finally could call up an SSH client.
